This video clip to me represented how the media puts out how a girl go’s through a struggle to see her self image in a blind world to true beauty. They put out this view of perfection, which is not obtainable to the average person. So she literally hangs onto the words like its air to her lungs, changing everything that made her special. So as she see’s the women on the TV she is now conscience of her self appearance.
She is now in a hurry to look like the women in the TV. But as she makes each change the T.V. slowly is taked away a little bit further, so she stretches herself a little more. Changing a little more of herself. then the T.V. moves away faster and she tries to keep up with it, Stretching herself thiner and thiner. She gets frantic how will she find herself if she doesnt have this guid?
So she in the end desroys herself for the beauty that she tried so hard to obtain. Now she is nothing more than a heap of parts piled on the floor. To me this is a message to girls every were who strive to acheive the idea of perfection, but feel like there always just a little too far off. I think this is a representaion of those who destroy their bodies with belimia, anerexia, doing to much plastic surgery, etc. Dont ruin yourself trying to fix it.
