Response to the mocie we watched on monday December 13

I'm all for trying new things, and eating bugs would be something i would like to try. I couldn't say i would do it gracefully, or respectfully, but i can say if presented with the opportunities i would experiment. They say that bugs are the cleanest form of protein, so the health benefits from eating bugs just might outweigh all the years of seeing bugs as gross creatures.

In other countries bugs are a staple food, they think nothing of eating fried crickets, or meal worms on there mashed potatoes. I watched this show "Bizarre foods with Andrew Zimmerman" he goes all over the word to sample the foods and share his experiences. He had a show where he went to a middle school and for the lunch periods and gave various "bizarre" foods to the children to let them sample. Later in the show he took peanut butter to Portugal and let some kids there try it, and they almost threw up.

I think we should all be open minded to knew foods, you don't know you wont like it until you try it. You don thave to go fast, take baby steps. If you havnt tried deer, try it. With every chance you get you should expand you tasted buds. There are so many good foods in the world to be limited to the same things you eat every day.

  1. Good for you that you are at least willing to consider something new.
